Maloney Continues to Tackle Royalties Issue
TweetDecember 6, 2006
Three Cheers to Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-New York) for her legislation introduced today which would commission a technical study of how the government collects gas drilling payments. Maloneys bill would put experts on the case to figure out whether those concerns are still a problem on federal and Native American leases. Maloneys investigations and oversight in the late 1990s helped bring oil royalty underpayments to light.
