Participate in Extractive Industries Transparency Meeting
TweetApril 10, 2013
Tomorrow the U.S. Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative will meet for the second time and the public is encouraged to call in to listen to the meeting and speak during the public remarks section.
The transparency initiative is an effort to get government agencies, industry, and civil society groups to work together to ensure that governments are getting their fair share of revenues from natural resources that are extracted from public lands, including oil and gas. The Project On Government Oversight’s Executive Director Danielle Brian is on the advisory committee and will also be attending the meeting.
The phone meeting is tomorrow, April 11, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. To hear the meeting and participate during the public remarks section, call 1-888-455-9744 and use the passcode USEITI to access the meeting. You can see the meeting agenda here, and find out more about the meeting and the committee on their website. Use this link to see documents under discussion in real-time during the meeting.
