Why this matters:

The government has virtually no audit or oversight controls of the C-130J aircraft program under the current contract with Lockheed Martin. The U.S. taxpayers are the ones carrying the load while Lockheed Martin is making money on a poorly- performing aircraft. The government’s first responsibilities are to the taxpayer and the adequate defense of our nation, not corporate CEOs and shareholders.
