Dear Mrs. Smith:

I would like to comment on the Notice of Availability in the Federal Register seeking public comments on the reforms advocated by the Project On Government Oversight. I feel that proper disclosure is at the core of what the commission should be doing, making these reforms vital to the continued integrity of the FEC.

As stated in POGO's request for rulemaking I would support these reforms:

• Compare PAC disbursements with candidate receipts;


• Group FEC data by two and six-year cycles;


• Eliminate Irregular PAC names;


• Eliminate Duplicate Entries;


• Require candidates to report returned contributions promptly; and


• Notify candidates of all "in-kind" contributions.

I urge you to support the initiation of formal rulemaking procedures in order to rectify the problems outlined in POGO's request.
