POGO Releases Its “Bakers Dozen” of Issues for Congress 2007

Fixing the nation's broken federal contracting system, strengthening whistleblower protections, and collapsing the black hole that is defense spending are just three of the suggested topics the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) says Congress should consider in 2007.
POGO's list of 13 issues for Congress to examine is comprised of many systemic problems that have plagued the federal government for a long time and spurred POGO's creation 25 years ago.
"POGO has consistently worked to expose waste, fraud, and abuse at the federal government level and has successfully worked alongside the government to solve systemic problems," said Executive Director Danielle Brian. "We look forward to continuing to work with the Congress to help maintain a strong, open and honest government."
