POGO's Comment on BP's Tax Deductions

"You've got to be kidding—BP cannot get away with using accounting tricks to avoid accountability. BP should make good on its commitments, not pass the cost of its own misconduct along to taxpayers."

-- POGO Executive Director Danielle Brian, in response to reports that BP plans to cut its U.S. tax bill by $9.9 billion through deductions related to the oil spill.
