<title>POGO Urges Public Disclosure of Contractor Past Performance Data</title>
    <link>http://pogoarchive.pub30.convio.net/pogo-files/letters/contract-oversight/co-fcmd-20110929.html</link>
<description>POGO provides the following public comments to FAR Case 2009-042, “Federal Acquisition Regulation; Documenting Contractor Performance,” (76 Fed. Reg. 37704, June 28, 2011).

POGO supports the proposed amendments to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) standardizing the collection and evaluation of past performance information. The amendments will further the goal of improved past performance assessments as most recently articulated in a January 2011 Office of Federal Procurement Policy memorandum, which is to ensure that contracting officials make “informed business decisions” when awarding contracts and that the government only works with “companies that deliver quality goods and services on time and within budget.”</description>
