Gibson became the vice president, U.S. and International Government Business for then-Hawker Beechcraft one year after he left his position as Assistant Secretary for Financial Management and Comptroller. He was Chief Management Officer for the Department of Defense from 2017 to 2018.
The year Gibson joined the company, Hawker Beechcraft received $317 million from the Department of Defense. That number increased to $542 million the next year.
