Kemp Ensor left his position as the director of security and counterintelligence at the National Security Agency (NSA) in January 2019, after serving in this capacity for 18 years. In this role, Ensor was responsible for mitigating insider threats and safeguarding NSA data. In January 2020, ManTech International Corp. announced it would be hiring Kemp as the vice president and deputy general manager of the Security Solutions Business Unit. In this role, Ensor will “lead strategic and operational initiatives driving innovative technology solutions that support missions of the largest members of the U.S. intelligence community,” according to a ManTech press release. Ensor will likely have the NSA, his former employer, in his new portfolio, as the Security Solutions Business Unit resides under the Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions group at ManTech, according to the press release.
In fiscal year 2019, ManTech was awarded $310 million in federal contracts from the Department of Defense, according to USAspending. ManTech “provides mission-focused technology solutions and services for U.S. defense, intelligence community and federal civilian agencies,” according to the press release announcing his Ensor’s hiring.
