Dr. Lani Kass was a senior policy advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. According to her official biography was also the Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force (CSAF), Senior Mentor to USAF Project CHECKMATE, and Director of the Cyber Task Force, and "developed the intellectual concepts that led to the establishment of the U.S. Cyber Command." She left the Pentagon in 2011. The next year she joined top Pentagon contractor CACI International as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategic Advisor. According to the Federal Procurement Data System CACI International received approximately $63.6 million in Air Force contracts in fiscal year 2012.
She "leads corporate efforts to advance CACI's presence and stature in the U.S. national security sector, as well as enhance and expand key client relationships."
