Steffanie B. Easter served as the director of Navy staff and left the department in December 2019, according to her LinkedIn page. In that role, as the senior Navy civilian, Easter managed “more than 400 flag officers and senior executives,” according to a press release. Prior to that, Easter served as an acting assistant secretary of the Army and the executive director for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office. On July 29, 2020, Steffanie Easter was hired as vice president of strategy and planning for the Defense Systems Group at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a top 20 contractor for the Navy in fiscal year 2019 receiving over $809 million, according to data from the Federal Procurement Data System.
“Steffanie’s experience brings tremendous value to SAIC, and her vast knowledge and insight into the mission and requirements of both the Navy and Army will help us build upon and improve delivery of state-of-the-art solutions for our customers,” stated Jim Scanlon, executive vice president and general manager of the Defense Systems Group.
