Two-Day Boot Camp:

February 22-23, 2023

Twice per year, POGO, in conjunction with the Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy, and The Lugar Center, offer two-day, intensive training sessions for congressional staff on the art and practice of oversight and investigations. Each of these Oversight Boot Camps combines staff from the U.S. House and Senate, committees and personal offices, and the Democratic and Republican parties to produce a bipartisan, bicameral experience. To date, more than 300 congressional staff have completed this training on how to do fact-based, bipartisan, in-depth investigations.

Registration for this event has closed. Check below for video, audio, or other resources from the event.

Thank you for your interest in the Spring 2023, 16th Oversight Boot Camp, hosted by the Project On Government Oversight (POGO), the Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy, and The Lugar Center.

The 16th Oversight Boot Camp will take place from February 22-23 this year. This in-person boot camp will last two full days, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Curious about what's involved and what you'll learn? Read the recap of our last oversight boot camp.

PLEASE NOTE: the application deadline is Friday, January 27. You will be contacted the following week regarding your acceptance status.

If accepted, you will need to confirm your attendance by February 3. Those who do not confirm by that date may have their slot offered to someone on the wait list.

We typically receive many more applications than we can accept. Preference will be given to applicants from committees, particularly if we have an applicant from the same committee of a different party.

The details to the boot camp will be provided upon confirmation of attendance.

If you have any questions, please contact Aisha Shafi at [email protected].
