Making the Most of Your Resources: Working with GAO

Presenters:

• Candice Wright, Acting Director, Science, Technology Assessment, and Analytics, Government Accountability Office (GAO). Ms. Wright oversees GAO’s work on the management of federally funded research, intellectual property protection, and federal efforts to help commercialize innovative technologies and enhance U.S. economic competitiveness. Ms. Wright joined GAO in July 2004. She has led reviews on a wide variety of policy issues involving federal contracting, risks to the defense supplier base, foreign military sales, and homeland security. In 2011, she served on a congressional detail to the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Ms. Wright also served as the head of GAO’s office in Kabul, Afghanistan in 2014.
