We’re already gearing up for the hard work of defending our democracy from any harmful policies pushed by President-elect Donald Trump.
In his first term in office, Trump expanded presidential power and flouted democratic norms. On the campaign trail, Trump has proposed going even further in his second term. Among other things, he’s discussed mass deportations and plans to purge the federal workforce to replace them with loyalists.
We know what we’re up against. And we’re prepared to hold the line.
The values we all fight for here at POGO — for the protection of our freedoms and a federal government that’s held responsible for corruption and abuse of power — exist above the fray of partisan lines. Every person has a stake in this movement to build a government that truly serves the people it represents.
The policies promoted by Trump present a serious danger to so many people who call this country home. The work ahead of us is monumental, but we’re ready to confront the moment and do what we were built to do. We have a plan and we’ve already begun the work to safeguard the rule of law and uphold the principles that make up our democracy.
We know what work we need to do to secure the kind of government we want. Donate now to immediately fund the efforts to prevent the backsliding of democracy.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“Having a good friend in the White House could be a very good thing for Tesla and SpaceX. You have to worry about decisions that are not best for taxpayers when you have those kinds of cozy relationships.”
