Pentagon Labyrinth

Mark Thompson’s Military Industrial Circus

May 30, 2017

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Mark Thompson has a 4 decade-long perspective covering the Pentagon. He brings this experience to the Center for Defense Information and POGO with his new column, the Military Industrial Circus.

Mark Thompson has experienced a long and interesting career covering the Pentagon. He has seen six different administrations and 14 Secretaries of Defense.

Through all of this, he has noted many trends common to all. He brings this experience to the Center for Defense Information to provide his perspective in his weekly column “Military Industrial Circus.” He recently related a few of his favorite anecdotes to CDI’s Dan Grazier.

Center for Defense Information

The Center for Defense Information at POGO aims to secure far more effective and ethical military forces at significantly lower cost.

Help us shine a light on government waste, corruption, and abuse of power.

From exposing fraud in the use of COVID-19 relief funds to holding our elected officials accountable for getting resources to those who need them most, POGO fights day in and day out for a more effective government that better serves the people it’s supposed to serve—you. But we can only continue to do this with your help.
