Military decisions should be based on the best interests of our troops and national security. The A-10 attack aircraft provides crucial support to troops on the ground, aiding and protecting service members on the battlefield. Yet, Air Force officials are trying to force the jet into retirement — before they have a proper replacement. 

The tried-and-true A-10 has saved hundreds of lives, and retiring it could leave our troops vulnerable. When it comes to close air support, the A-10 remains unmatched.
