Tell Congress: Whistleblower Protections Can’t Wait
It’s time for Congress to ensure truthtellers don’t have to risk their careers to hold our government accountable.
Whistleblowers are essential to good government. When all else fails, those who witness wrongdoing must be able to come forward and expose it.
But weak protections for whistleblowers force those with knowledge of government corruption, abuse of power, waste, or injustice to think twice about speaking up. They must make the difficult choice to stay silent or to risk their careers.
It doesn’t need to be that way. Congress can step in to make it safer for government employees who witness wrongdoing to speak up.
Lawmakers must act now and pass legislation giving greater protections to whistleblowers. You should not have to risk your livelihood to do the right thing and hold our government accountable.
