Tell the Senate: Stop Stock Trading Now
Demand that the Senate ban members of Congress from trading stocks while in office, a measure most Americans support.
Laws on the books now are not enough — in January 2023, reporters identified 78 senators and representatives who had recently violated the STOCK Act, a law created to prevent members of Congress from engaging in insider trading and expose potential conflicts of interest.
Members of Congress get access to nonpublic information, and they make decisions that can move markets and even impact individual stock prices Those of us they represent have good reason to question whether the leaders we elect to Congress are legislating with our best interests — or their own financial interests — in mind.
