For more than three decades, Danielle Brian has led POGO with fearless resolve and the conviction that government must answer to the people it serves.
The Danielle Brian Impact Fund honors Danielle's leadership by investing in bold, strategic initiatives that extend POGO's impact at a critical moment for American democracy. The purpose of the Danielle Brian Impact Fund is to launch or support new short- or medium-term strategic initiatives that will amplify POGO's impact.
The fund will support two interconnected priorities:
- Accountability in action: investigating, documenting and exposing those who have acted to undermine our democratic institutions, in order to pursue accountability for misconduct and to seek the return of any illicit gains from these abuses of power;
- Building the oversight we need: reimagining and preparing for the reconstruction of our system of government oversight and accountability, rebuilding a government dedicated to transparency, the public interest, and the rule of law.
