Bio

Aisha Shafi is the program coordinator for the Congressional Oversight Initiative (COI) at POGO. She works to improve and enhance Congress's ability to conduct effective oversight investigations by providing expert trainings and resources, with a focus on bipartisanship and adherence to best practices.

Before joining POGO, Aisha worked with two offices on Capitol Hill. She also interned at several non-profit organizations and government agencies including the Partnership for Public Service and the Government Accountability Office.

Aisha earned her B.A. in Government and International Politics with minors in Conflict Resolution and Data Analysis from George Mason University, where she was an Undergraduate Research Scholars Program Fellow, Global Politics Fellow, and an Honors College alum.
