
Irene Laws
Program Associate
Irene Laws is POGO’s program associate and works on the Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships team. Her role includes maintaining monitoring tools and helping facilitate the team’s program development, planning, communications, programming, and reporting.
Irene brings her experience of working with POGO’s Individual Giving team to further empower and strengthen POGO’s network of supporters, donors, and advocacy partners.
She is from Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining POGO, Irene worked with the nonprofit LifeLine Animal Project as a community support coordinator providing Human Animal Social Services for those impacted by housing, financial, or other owner related issues.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in social science, with a minor in political science, from Stetson University. During her time there, she was privileged to work with students, faculty, and community leaders to organize events and volunteer opportunities that facilitated mentorship and social action.
