Janice Luong

Policy Associate

Janice Luong is the Policy Associate at POGO’s Effective and Accountable Government (EAG) team. She assists the Director of Effective and Accountable Government in monitoring and executing POGO policy objectives and advocacy campaigns on federal spending, data transparency, an accurate Census, and other open government initiatives. She is also a member of the Open Government Federal Advisory Committee. 

Prior to joining POGO, she worked at several think tanks and nonprofits with a focus on sustainability and improving domestic democracy, including the Brookings Institution, Election Reformers Network, CALSTART, and Sunwater Institute.

Janice grew up in California. She received her B.A. in Political Science, specializing in American Politics, from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
