Janice Luong

Policy Analyst

Bio

Janice Luong is a policy analyst on POGO’s Effective and Accountable Government team. She executes POGO policy objectives and advocacy campaigns on prediction markets, federal spending transparency, open government initiatives, and the weaponization of government. She also served as a member of the Open Government Federal Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining POGO, Janice worked at several think tanks and nonprofits with a focus on sustainable transportation technology and improving domestic democracy, including the Brookings Institution, Election Reformers Network, CALSTART, and the Sunwater Institute. She grew up in California and received her B.A. in political science, specializing in American politics, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is currently working toward a credential in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Janice’s work has been published in The Hill and FEDweek, and she has been quoted in NOTUS, Federal News Network, Roll Call, United Press International, POLITICO, and more.
