
Lance Sims
FOIA Litigation Manager
Lance Sims is the FOIA Litigation Manager at the Project on Government Oversight. In this role, Lance coordinates FOIA requests with investigators and advises the organization on appeal and litigation strategies. He is responsible for maintaining the FOIA database and communicating with federal agencies regarding the status of POGO’s requests. Lance has more than 15 years’ experience as a civil and criminal litigation paralegal and has worked on cases in local, state, appellate and Federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. In addition to case management, discovery, and court filings, his law firm experience includes preparation of congressional testimony and reports.
Lance earned his Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Howard University College of Medicine in 2006. He earned a B.A. in Biology and a BA in Psychology at Howard University in 2003 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
